If you are coming to the Independent Label Market at London’s Coal Drops Yard on Saturday 11th May, I’ll have copies of Bannau Brycheiniog', a collection of new music by Vic Mars on CD. It comes in a handmade cover and is limited to 100 copies.
The majority of the music was composed during the final stages of work on Vic Mars’ last LP, The Beacons, and thematically the music on Bannau Brycheiniog draws inspiration from the same landscape. However, this collection embraces a more ambient approach, employing a predominantly synth-based palette.
I’ve also made Risograph prints of the cover image, which is inspired by the standing stone at Mynydd Illtud Menhir. The Risograhs were beautifully printed by Duplikat Press, who have recently moved from East London to Margate.
After the market, the remaining prints and CDs will be available online.
This looks gorgeous! Even if there are not any 'extras' can you please release this as a proper album?
